We at the Path shelter would like to offer our supporters a uniformed way to volunteer and help us RESCUE the hurting who are in our shelter. Please read the following to see if any of these positions are suitable to your skills.

We are asking for a 6 month commitment on all positions for training purposes.

Volunteer Job Positions

The Path Rescue Mission provides shelter and food for displaced men, women and children and teaches Biblical principles to bring quality and self sufficiency.

Overall

Board Members

  • Must have heart for the poor and homeless regardless of cause
  • Must be willing to serve on major decisions for 2 years
  • Be willing to sign Christian statement of faith
  • Have influence in time, talent or financial position

Volunteer Coordinator

  • the path thrift storeEssential growth and eventually paid position, this position will require approximately 20 hours
    week coordinating all of the volunteers to help them be productive and utilize their time
    efficiently. Phone skills and computers are required, good communication skills a plus.
  • Paid training for the right person in Colorado Springs.

The Path Shelter Store, raising money from donated products

Truck Driver, furniture helpers

  • 5 hours a week helping with furniture pick ups, healthy back required

Bargain store pricer's and display set up

  • 3 hours a week helping the manager get products displayed on the floor

Garage sale buyers

  • The path Volunteer truck driver3 to 5 hours on Saturdays. Garage sale enthusiasts will go to garage sales and purchase
    items for the store, bargain hunter required

Ebay sales, full time with commission

  • Unlimited hours, paid by commission on ebay sales

Refinisher to help refinish wood products and teach the men how to refinish

  • 5 hours a week to take old wood products and refinish them to be sold, must be able to use tools and know wood

Car parts changer, qualified to repair on donated vehicles

  • 5 hours a week changing car parts, must know vehicles

Tractor Driver

  • 8 hours a month driving an Allis Chalmers for the farm on 10 acres

The Path FarmFarm help with watching crops

  • Supervise to make sure our crops are watered, fertilized, weeded and growing properly, must
    know how to grow crops on an acreage scale

The Shelter

Newsletter day coordinator and/or designer

  • Design and help fold the newsletter that is mailed every two months

Parenting Instructor

2 hours a week teaching young mothers how to raise children

All around driver for appointments

  • 3 hours a week driving clients to appointments in our van

Bed check. Lights out supervisor

  • 10 hours a week and eventually a paid position

Dietary instructor, teach 10 meals

  • 2 hours a week teaching young mothers how to feed there family

Job coaching helper

  • 2 hours a week helping our coaching instructor with assignments

Data input, heart program

  • 5 hours a week entering data into a computer to get reports for the director

The Path, helping people.Group session coach and counselor helper

  • 2 hours a week helping the group session instructor with lessons

Cook
- 3 hours a week helping clients cook a meal and learn a recipe

Brochure/flyer distributor

  • 3 hours a week distributing flyers to the public
